Tech Lead

I became the Tech Lead for Toggl Hire, managing a team of 9 engineers. Toggl Hire was sunset in August of 2025 and after leading my team through the transition I started a new specialised AI team building Agentic features, MCPs, and driving adoption of AI coding within the wider engineering department.

January 2024 - April 2025

Backend Engineer

I worked on Toggl Hire, which is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with Skills Testing. Notable projects include building an integration with Gmail, migrating the product from Heroku to GCP, and a rewrite of the skills testing API.

Tantalus Labs

Tantalus Labs was a licensed producer of cannabis, based in British Columbia, Canada. Tantalus began in the federally licensed medical cannabis framework and went on to serve both medical & recreational clients in Canada's legal cannabis framework.

As CTO I developed enterprise planning software and business-wide metric reporting, managed the Technology and Physical Security divisions, and worked with the COO to design business architecture and high level processes.

DevOps Engineer

The "Devops Engineer" at Tantalus was responsible for supporting IT systems, ranging from text-based PLC software to Rails applications. A large part of the early role was building automation around the security hardware for the greenhouse.

Codestone is a Managed Services Provider in Poole, Dorset. They specialise in cloud services, Citrix, and Office365 and are also a leading SAP Business One partner.

Infrastructure Consultant

As an Infrastructure Consultant at Codestone, I was responsible for specifying, architecting, and engineering IT Infrastructure solutions to business customers. I was based in London but my role required travel to clients across the UK and Europe.

Senior Infrastructure Support Technician (Virgin)

In May 2013 I relocated to London for a role dedicated to Virgin, based at Virgin’s head office. Codestone provided Infrastructure-as-a-Service and support to Virgin, including VIP support for high profile users. The role included the day-to-day managing of service delivery; change request management; leading a support team across the UK, Switzerland, United States, and British Virgin Islands.
